I am a 33 year old South Sudanese who has worked for more than eight years on areas of gender equality specifically women’s rights and girl child education and I have championed campaigns to end early child marriage in South Sudan.
My passion on working with young people living with HIV is driven by the fact that I have lost young family members due to stigma and discrimination within the community on their HIV status and leading to an orphaned burden base of children who are not taken care of due to the stigma.
Currently I work as the Executive Director of Young Positives South Sudan an organisation I founded to work on raising awareness on HIV prevention and care for young people meanwhile advocating for the rights of young positives to participate in decision-making and leadership without discrimination based on their status.
