Rebecca Mbewe

I am a mentor, speaker and trainer with long standing experience of working within the HIV sector. I have been living well with HIV for the last 24 years. I am passionate about gender equality and women’s health rights and as such am an active member of the UK Community Advisory Board (UKCAB). I also sit on the British HIV Association (BHIVA) Steering Group Committee as a community representative. I am an Associate at Salamander Trust, which aims to protect, promote and enhance the health and rights of people marginalised by societies worldwide as a result of their gender, HIV status or sexual and reproductive health issues. As well as recently becoming one of three directors for 4M Mentor Mothers Network CIC, I have recently taken up the post of GROWS Training and Project Coordinator at Positively UK, a project that looks at issues that affect women and ageing.
