Luisa Orza

I am a feminist writer, researcher and storyteller, and for the last 20 years have been advocating for women’s rights and gender equality in the context of HIV, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence. This work has allowed me to become part of a global movement of incredible women activists and social justice advocates in places as diverse as Beirut, Yangon, Seattle, Cape Town, Nairobi and London. I feel profoundly privileged to be part of this network, and to stand, walk and work alongside women and gender non-conforming people in their diversity, in particular those living with and most affected by HIV.

I live near the sea in the South West of England with my beautiful cat, Pilot. I love walking by the sea in wild weather, and swimming in it when it’s calm. Pilot prefers chasing mice in the garden. We both love snuggling up by the fire and reading.
